1      Walking around Central in St. Pete is one of the best things to do for free. They have tons of art from murals and interactive things that go on there all the time. There are frequent activities, festivals, and events especially during the summer. 

   

2.     North Shore park is a great place to enjoy a beach day during the summer. They have a park, volleyball nets, a dog park, and an outdoor gym. Which are all open for public access year round for free.

 

3.    The Pier is a great place to spend time during the summer. You can walk or take the  tram and enjoy the waterfront view there’s tons of cheap places to eat nearby. You can also fish at the Pier on their fishing deck. There is also the spa beach where you can swim.

 

4.     If you still want to learn over summer the St. Petersburg Museum of History is a great option for you. The museum is a great place to learn about local history. For children and students admission is 9$. The museum also has a number of educational events throughout the year.

 

5.     St. Pete has recently introduced e-scooters which you can find almost everywhere in DownTown St. Pete. They are open to all ages and you’re supposed to ride on the road. These scooters are a great way to tour the city and are very cost effective. 

 

6.      Crescent Lake Park is another great place to spend time during summer. They have tennis courts, a dog park, and many other great amenities. They also have yoga in the park on the first Saturday of every month. 

 

7.       The Sunken Gardens is a gorgeous botanical garden in Historic Old NorthEast. They have over 50,00 tropical plants and flowers. There is tons of scenery to explore. The admission for kids 2-17 is 9$. 

 

8.       The Boyd Hill Nature Preserve is a park that has 5 different ecosystems located throughout. There is Lake Maggiore, pine flatwoods, swamp woodlands, sand scrub trail, and a willow marsh. Admission for children is 1.50$.

 

9.      Black Crow Coffee is a great place to grab an affordable coffee or something to eat. It’s also just a great place to sit down and hangout at. It’s located in the Grand Central District. 

 

10.    The Sundial is a shopping center in St. Pete with lots of stores and markets. There is the AMC Sundial. It’s another great place in St. Pete to hangout and walk around.
