This is definitely a tricky question to answer, especially because some people know what they want to do their whole life, and others have no idea. If you have no idea what you want to do or what you want your college major to be, there are several things you can do. Firstly, taking an online quiz that gives job suggestions can help. You can look at your top job matches and see what majors are suggested for those jobs. Also, thinking about your favorite subjects in school can help you realize what you are good at and what you may want to do in the future. St. Petersburg High School also offers a ton of clubs, and joining ones that suit your interests could help narrow down what majors you may be interested in. Talking to your school counselor is also a good resource, as they can assist you in making a list of possible majors.

Another thing I have done that I think is very helpful is looking at what majors are offered at colleges you are interested in. Different colleges offer different majors, and certain ones may stick out to you. Lastly, it is important to remember that some colleges let you apply undecided or let you change your major many times within the first two years. You may need to see what you don’t like to realize what you do enjoy. Finally, just remember that your college major doesn’t determine your whole life. Just because you choose a business degree doesn’t mean you have to do a job in that field forever. As long as you pick something that you are interested in, picking a major should be an exciting process.
