Superstar Siblings
Max and Tate Keber are St.Petersburg High School’s superstar tennis players. Holding the position of number one in the school comes with a lot of pressure and responsibility. Tate juggles playing competitive and high school tennis, as well as club and highschool volleyball, and on top of that she has to balance her social life and studies. Max and Tate both came from a tennis background, their dad is a tennis coach, and their mom works in the WTA (Women’s Tennis Association). Max says his biggest hero and inspiration is his dad because he “got me into tennis and not only made me improve, but made me love the sport.” Tates biggest inspiration is her older brother Max, “the way he played and was so dedicated to his sport inspired me.” Max has gotten many D1 offers including Penn State, Indiana, Colorado, North Carolina, and Illinois State. Although he has the skills to play at each one of those schools, his top choice at the moment is University of West Florida. Max loves Florida and “can’t imagine living anywhere else.” As of last season, West Florida was ranked fifth nationally for the NCAA. All of the Kebers’ hard work has paid off with the eldest son going off to play college level tennis and their youngest daughter following in his footsteps.
